Career Week

This is just a brief introduction to what I plan to bring y’all this week. I spent the weekend working on a few articles for Career Week. You might wonder what this has to do with your money, in case you don’t see the direct correlation.

How you present yourself in a job interview can make a difference in how much you’re offered, or even if you’re offered a position with that particular company. How you conduct yourself at work, how you field the tough questions and even how you carry yourself in the presence of people that in a small way have a hand in your future can make or break your future with this company. These kinds of things should not be taken lightly.

So having recently been out in the job market and looking through the want ads, and submitting my resume all over DFW it seemed, I’ve landed a new job. This new job will teach me new skills, furthering my career, it will be very interesting and challenging. Which are all things I sought out when looking through those ads.

I felt there was a need for this type of topic to be covered here, as money matters are directly correlated to that 40 hours a week you spend outside the home earning a living. It’s important to at least be somewhat content with what you do for a living, even better if you like it. :)
