Website Politics

Dear Sabrina,

Thank you for becoming a Unity08 Founding Delegate.  We have started something amazing — recruiting more Delegates in the first 36 hours than the Republicans and Democrats will have at both of their national conventions, combined.

There are two more steps I encourage you to take.  The first anyone can do:  recruit one more Delegate this week — one more family member, or neighbor, or office worker, or friend.  Recruit more if you can of course, but if everyone just added one more Delegate we would double our numbers and come closer and closer to jolting Washington, and getting the system back on track.  Click here to send an email to your friends asking them to join us.

The second step will be easy for some of you, tougher for others.  In this YouTube world, we want to show the faces of new Delegates telling other why its so important to sign up. So if you can, send us a homemade video we can post.  I shouldn’t be the face of Unity08, you should.  Just click here and follow the easy instructions.  Thanks,

Sam Waterston

More on this later, but join!  Make a difference in something!

Become a Unity08 Delegate: Reserve your seat today

Unity08 is now recruiting the Unity08 Delegates – the Americans who will nominate a bipartisan presidential ticket in the first-ever online political convention – the first-ever national presidential primary. Opening this Delegate registration is the most important move Unity08 has made since its launch.

Unlike the Delegates to the conventions for the two major parties, there are no hoops to jump through here. You don’t even need to leave your own party to become a Unity08 Delegate. You must simply be a registered voter by June 2008 to participate.

Join us now to take your country back – from the polarized politicians and the big special interest money that fund them both.

~If you are sick of having no say in whom your party’s nominee will be because you don’t happen to live in Iowa, New Hampshire or South Carolina, sign up now to have your voice heard.

~If you are eager to see more choices for president than those who currently survive the fat-cats’ race for money and media’s race for front-runners, sign up now to have your voice heard.
~If you feel politically homeless because neither your political party nor your entire elected government is willing to take a courageous stand on the most crucial issues facing our nation, sign up now to have your voice heard.

~If you are among of the millions of American TV viewers who have stopped watching the two national political conventions because glitzy shindigs bankrolled by rich lobbyists are the most exciting things that happen, sign up now to have your voice heard.

~If you are disgusted by Washington’s partisan bickering and by leaders who enter office beholden to single-issue groups and special interest money that bankroll their campaigns, sign up now to have your voice heard.

By becoming a Founding Unity08 Delegate and reserving your seat at the first-ever national presidential primary and online convention, you will be making history and taking your country back.

Our political system is broken. The parties are empty, out of gas. They barely speak to one another. They ignore crucial issues, desperately looking for something to attack on the other side. Unity08 is a better idea – a national primary and nominating convention, held over the Internet, in which all registered voters can take part as Delegates, regardless of their party or where they live.

Unity08 is a better idea – a “national” primary and nominating convention, held over the Internet, in which all registered voters can take part as delegates, regardless of their party or where they live.

Yes, the political system is broken. But you can fix it. And pick the next president at the same time. So sign up now, and sign up your family, friends and neighbors. Don’t wait. Your country needs you now.

Reserve your seat today as a Unity08 Delegate — and pick the next president.

It’s Friday & Time to Partay!

Today is the day that we celebrate the end of the workweek. Well, the traditional work week that is. You know we need to find a new word for work, notice that it’s a four letter word, I think HELL would be better. I think that is a more accurate description of work. LOL :) But the week is over now and we can kick back and relax — starting at 5:00 p.m.

Sunday is my sisters’ baby shower for the impending introduction of Connor Nicholas to the world. My sister is the oldest of the three of us, and she’s the last to have a munchkin, and the only one who ever “planned” to have children. LOL. How’s that for irony.:)

Anyways, tell me what are your plans for the weekend?

What a Dumb Day…

It’s Wednesday - which is just another Monday if you ask me.  Although the Mavericks didn’t beat Golden State, tonight marks the beginning of yet another winning streak, this will be streak #5.

I don’t know about you, but I cannot seem to wake up today, I’ve been draggin’ butt all day long. I had the air conditioner on in the car so I would be so cold I’d be awake on the drive in to work.  Isn’t that sad?

So tell me, how has your day been?

It sure is Monday - on this website & out in the world..

It’s Monday everyone…and so it begins.  You should start your day today signing up on the links to your right, if you have any questions, leave a comment or better yet, register on the site and email me…

…the Mavericks won #17 of this winning streak they’re on last night against the Lakers, will they beat the record for the longest winning streak in the NBA? I think so, and you know why I think so?  Because they can, that’s why I think they’ll do it….just because they can.  Tonight they play the Golden State Warriors, coached by none other than Nelly.  I guarantee you this game will be GOOD!

Mavs Fan!
